Venerable Sujan

Course

The Centre intends to provide warm welcoming, peaceful environment and maintain in its shrine room suiting for mental development and spiritual achievement. In the calm meditative environment in the presence of the Serene Buddha image, you can enjoy the serenity of a small shrine to find inner happiness. Our main teacher is Ajahn Sujan, and regular visiting teachers from Thailand and other centres; such as Venerable Dr. Vimokkha, Phramaha Wichian.

THINGS TO DO:

Meditation sessions

1. Tuesday evening: 7pm – 9 pm. This is on going meditation session. Begins with 15 mins of chanting, guided meditation and end with discussions.

2. Wednesday Evening : 7pm – 9pm. Guided talk, practice of sitting, walking, break & discussion

3. Thursday Dhamma studies at 7 pm ( This is only for old students)

Group Sitting

1. Sunday Meditation session 10:00 am -11:15 am

2. Saturday Meditation at 10.00-11.00  

Other services:

1. Spiritual Counselling :
The Centre also provide facilities for counselling both ‘Spiritual counselling from a monk or professional counselling’ (Prior booking only)

Monthly Activities

1. Every third Saturday of the month
Sharing Talk by one of the members at 2-4 pm: for topic and speaker follow facebook page.

2. MINDFULNESS MEDITATION SESSIONS

Every last Monday of the the month at Aberdeen Health Village, Community (everyone is welcome) 11am to 12 pm and Aberdeen City Partnership Staffs at 12.15 to 12.45 pm (places are limited, so booking is essential. Booking contact email: graham.fleming@nhs.net

3. Children’s Dhamma School

Every last Sunday of the month, 1pm to 4pm. For further information please contact centre.

 

CODE OF PRACTICE
1. Refrain from harming or killing any beings but practice loving kindness
2. Refrain from taking that is not given, but practice generous
3. Refrain from sexual misconducts but development of goodwill
4. Refrain from lying and false speech but speak honestly, kindly
5. Refrain from taking/drinking/consumption of intoxicants and drugs but to develop clear mind and pure heart.
